Headline: “Exchange Will Streamline Doctor, Patient Relations”

Our story at BAME began over 50 years ago, a legacy highlighted by a feature in The Marketplace on October 5, 1973, titled “Exchange Will Streamline Doctor, Patient Relations.” The article captures the innovative vision of our founder, Dave Reynard, a former police officer who revolutionized Communication for Physicians in Pinellas County. Inspired by his experience with two-way radios in the police force, Dave introduced this technology to local doctors, securing a dedicated radio frequency. This allowed physicians to stay connected … whether making hospital rounds or dining out … using a pocket-sized communicator that “beeps” to alert them of calls, as the article describes. What started with a husband-and-wife team, a cord board, two phone lines, and a handful of physicians has since grown into a global operation.

Since 1994, Dave’s daughter, Heather Whitlock, has led the family-owned business, expanding to handle up to 5,000 incoming lines while embracing the latest technology. Today, we cater to a diverse client base across multiple industries
